Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer / DevOps Specialist to design, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines that power our AI models and real-time monitoring solutions. As we move fast, we embrace AI coding tools (primarily Claude-Code) and enjoy “vibe coding” in a responsible way. We are seeking someone open to experimenting with new approaches, with genuine interest in agentic workflows and pushing the boundaries of how engineering teams build software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Architect and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Athena, etc.).
  • Automate data workflows and deployment processes using DevOps best practices (CI/CD, IaC with Terraform).
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to prepare clean, reliable datasets for training and deploying predictive models.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for data pipelines to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Work with real-time event data to ensure low-latency updates for dashboards and AI-powered recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering.
  • Solid experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (Airflow, dbt, Glue, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data and compute services (ECS, EKS, Lambda, Kinesis, S3, Glue, Athena, RDS).
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database optimization (PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of NOSQL (MongoDB).
  • Experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and Infrastructure-as-Code (we use Gitlab).
  • Understanding of preparing and structuring data for AI/ML models.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in production-first environments.
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Background in real-time analytics or streaming data.
  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms (SageMaker).
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or large venue operations.
